Bhubaneswar, Mar 14: Congress’ drastic loss in the Odisha Panchayat Polls resulted in the punishment to its first victim, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and State in-charge, BK Hariprasad. According to AICC Media panellist, Brijesh Kalappa Hariprasad has resigned from both his posts. Kalappa also said that Hariprasad’s resignation from the general secretary post was to facilitate restructuring of the party to strengthen its organisation at the grassroots level and to provide better control to AICC vice president, Rahul Gandhi. After Congress lost miserably in the polls, few party leaders of Odisha Congress blamed the Odisha Congress chief and the State in-charge and also demanded his resignation from both the posts.
