Rinkesh Roy asssumes charge as PPT chairman

Paradip, Dec 24: Indian Railway Traffic Service officer Rinkesh Roy has assumed charge as the chairman of the Paradip Port Trust.

Roy, an IRTS officer of 1992 Batch belongs to Odisha.

Before joining the PPT as its chairman, Roy worked in varied capacities in the  Railway  Operations  Department at  Khurda Road, Sambalpur, Waltair, Kharagpur, Chakradharpur  and Bilaspur Divisions.

He has vast experience at the Railway Board level, working there as Director, Planning and Director, Traffic Transportation.

Roy has also worked on the East Coast Railways as the  Secretary  to  General  Manager  and  as  Chief  Freight Traffic Manager of ECOR, wherein he was a member of the team that made it the highest freight­loading railway.

Soon after assuMing the charge of the chairman of PPT, Roy met Odisha governor S C Jamir, who was  on an official tour to the port town.
