Rourkela, Jan 2: Today morning in another horrifying road accident on NH-143 near Darjing under Lahunipara PS in Sundergarh, a petrol pump owner named Lal Mohan Mahali died in a road accident. It’s stated that when Lal Mohan was heading towards the petrol pump on his bike at around 8am, a ten-wheeler iron laden truck heading towards Rourkela barged into his bike thus killing the owner on the spot.
Showing anger over the incident, the irate locals staged a road block for some time and demanded Rs 5lakh as a compensation for the deceased’s family members. The locals also detained the truck driver and handed him over to the cops. The Police also seized his vehicle.
