Rs 54,000 cash looted from Chandbali BJD MLA’s car in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Apr 11: Yesterday evening, some unknown persons robbed off cash and other valuables from BJD legislator Byomkesh Ray’s vehicle here. The Chandbali MLA had parked his car near Master Canteen Square here and had gone to participate in a candle light rally organised by the party to maintain peace and harmony amidst Bhadrak. It was then that the robbers conspired and got Ray’s driver out of the car and looted with Rs 54, 000 cash, garments, a suitcase and some documents. When the miscreants approached the car, Ray’s driver was there inside. They told him that his money has fallen down. When he stepped down the vehicle to check, the looters took away with the valuables kept inside. Ray has filed a complaint at the Kharavela Nagar police station following which investigation has begun.
