Dhenkanal, Feb 9: The family members of late BJP youth activist Salman Rout, who was shot dead at Tarabha village here during a pre-poll violence, have demanded a high-level and impartial probe into the the murder. On the other hand, the accused OSAP jawan, Byomkesh Biswal, is on two day police remand for interrogation. Biswal’s family members, who had left the village after enraged villagers set their house on fire, have raised question on their security. Besides, an FIR has been registered at the Sadar police station against 34 persons for ransacking and setting Biswal’s house on fire. On the other hand, relatives of Biswal have demanded a detailed inquiry into the incident and the gun used in the murder.
