Bhubaneswar: January 6: After Pradeep Maharathy’s resignation, Odisha Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera and ST & SC Development Minister Ramesh Majhi were given additional charges on Sunday. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik accepted the resignation of Maharathy and has forwarded it to Governor Pro. Ganeshi Lal.
Finance and Excise Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera has been given the additional charge of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment as well as Fisheries & Animal Resources Development department.
ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi has been given the additional charge of Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department.
Pradeep Mharathy resigned today from the State Cabinet for being in the eye of storm after giving a controversial statement on the court verdict on Pipili gang rape case.
