Bhubaneswar, April 5: The lawyers of  State Administrative Tribunal, agitating against the State Government decision to abolish the Tribunal, Monday decided to withdraw their stir following the assurance of the chief Justice of Orissa High Court to look into their grievances.

SAT Bar representatives told newsmen that they had a fruitful discussion with the Chief Justice and decided  to withdraw their agitation.

Notably, the State Cabinet on September 9, 2015 had decided to abolish the SAT on the ground that the Tribunal set up in 1986 has not been able to achieve its desired goal.

Lawyers are protesting ever since the Cabinet approved the proposal and the Bar Council of the State backed the protest from September 26, 2015.
