Balasore, Feb 6: In connection with the Seashore chit fund scam, just a few weeks ago, today the Central Excise officials raided the BJD’s Balasore MP Rabindra Jena’s office and a factory in a similar way as the CBI had raided the office and residence of Jena. Till now, its known that a five-member team is conducting the search on the office of Jena in OT Road. Likewise raids are being carried out by the agency’s four-member team at OM Pipe Manufacturing factory in the city.
Notably, on Jan 12, the CBI had raided 25 places in the country including the office and residence of Jena. Offices and houses of two businessmen said to be close to Jena were also raided as it was alleged that Supratik Group under the leadership of Jena had taken a loan of Rs. 18 crore from the fraudulent Seashore Group.
