Bhubaneswar: May 29: District administration of Cuttack today clamped Sec 144 of CrPC in and around Barabati Indoor Stadium of Odisha and asked the people to vacate the area apprehending trouble on Sahara India Group Chief Subroto Roy’s visit to the city. Commissionerate police made the announcement with the help of Loud Speaker that, the event to be held here was cancelled. Police got some information that some elements affected by chit fund scam, may create trouble at the venue leading to law and order situation, said Twin City Commissioner of Police YB Khurania. Also, security has been tightened at a private hotel in Bhubaneswar to avoid any protest or untoward incident. Subroto Roy reached Bhubaneswar yesterday evening to address a gathering of Sahara India Employees and agents. Around 3500 people were expected to attend the conference.
