Dhenkanal, Sep 3: Yesterday in the Solagadia village under Nihalprasad police limits in Dhenkanal district, the cops arrested a man named Ramesh Dehury for allegedly raping a visually impaired girl belonging to the same village.
The culprit on getting arrested was put through medical examination at the Gondia Sri Ramchandrapur PHC Sub Centre. It’s stated that the victim had left her home for selling papads at around 4pm on Thursday. In the evening when she was coming back home it started to rain and so she took shelter on the verandah of the accused’s house. Seeing the victim alone, Dehury allegedly bought her in and raped her. Failing innumerable times, she finally managed to escape from his bound and on reaching home narrated the entire horrifying incident to her mother. Later, the mother-daughter duo filed an FIR at the nearby Nihalprasad Police Station.
