Bhubaneswar: July 25: The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) of the Odisha government held its 120th meeting. The authority, which was presided over by Pradeep Kumar Jena, IAS, the Chief Secretary of Odisha, approved eight industrial projects totaling about INR 1250 crores.
These initiatives are anticipated to generate an impressive 3640 employment opportunities, reiterating the State’s commitment to promoting economic growth and luring sizeable investments.
The projects approved in the 120th SLSWCA cover a range of industries, demonstrating the development of Odisha’s industrial ecosystem. B K International Private Limited has been given permission to open a socks’ manufacturing facility in the apparel and textiles industry. This project is expected to cost INR 52.00 crores and create 800 jobs.
The readymade clothing manufacturing facility of Mamta Fabrics Pvt Ltd will be built with an investment of INR 50.00 Crores and is expected to create employment opportunities for 2,000 people, strengthening the Khurdha textile industry even more.
With an investment of INR 147.64 Crores and 150 job opportunities, a reputable manufacturer will establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the steel (downstream) sector to produce 1,80,000 steel doors and windows along with other products. With an investment of INR 105.00 Crores and the creation of 50 new jobs, Nezone Tubes Utkal Limited intends to expand its current facility by constructing a manufacturing unit for 1,60,000 MT MS square and rectangular pipes and tubes in Kalinga Nagar, Jajpur.
Odisha’s mining and metallurgy industry benefits from Vedanta Limited’s 4.5 MTPA Iron ore Beneficiation Plant’s approval. This project, which is located in the Koidain Sundergarh district and is estimated to cost INR 80.00 Crores, is expected to create 152 jobs and improve the State’s steel beneficiation capabilities.
Along the Biju Economic Corridor in Western Odisha, three key projects have been given the go-ahead for the production of grain-based ethanol, with a total investment of approximately Rs. 810 Cr and the creation of approximately 500 jobs.
