Slow but steady, Bhadrak limps back to normal life

Bhadrak, Apr 13: In a recent development, seems the violence at Bhadrak has cooled down following to which, today, the curfew has been relaxed here from 7 am till 5 pm. Earlier yesterday, the district administration (DA) had relaxed the curfew for 9 hours i.e. rom 7 am to 4 pm

Seeing the situation developing, the DA has also resumed the bus services in the town from yesterday. On the other hand, the Cyber Cell of the Crime Branch is interrogating the five persons, who have been detained on charges of posting objectionable content on social media.

In the meanwhile, CM Naveen Patnaik after reviewing the Bhadrak situation yesterday has given orders of the transfer of Superintendent of Police (SP) Dilip Das and Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Pravash Bhoi. It’s reported that SP Das has been directed to report at the Police Headquarters where he will be replaced with Jajpur SP Anup Sahoo, while ADM Bhoi will be replaced by Talcher sub-Collector Shyambhakt Mishra.
