Bhubaneswar: October 07: Smriti Irani, Union Minister of Textiles, attended the BJP’s State Executive Meeting here today. Post Meeting, she addressed a Press Conference and blamed Naveen Patnaik for rejecting Ayushman Bharat saying the State government does not want to give benefits to its people under the Central scheme.
Also, she briefed how Odisha Chief Minister failed to provide safety and security to the women in the state. She said, Naveen Patnaik and his Minister have admitted that over 60% women and children are suffering from anaemia and malnutrition in the State. Besides, we come across regular features that patients are carried on cot to the hospital for treatment. But Naveen Babu rejected Ayushman Bharat like Central Scheme. This is purely for political reason.
Union Minister also attacked Naveen Babu for the deteriorating situation of law and order in the State. She claimed that, Naveen Babu has failed in development and failed in ensuring safety to women.
She further said, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Babu has not been showing interest for the revival of OTM. But, assured, if the State government proposes the centre for revival of OTM, the Centre in association with the State will help in developing the textile sector in Odisha’.
Speaking on BJP’s performance in coming Assembly Election, she expressed her confident that the saffron party will achieve the target of 120+ seats in Odisha.
