Bhubaneswar, Nov 18: Dr. Sitikantha Mishra, Advisor-cum-Dean of the faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, SOA University, has been honored for his contribution in the field of tourism and hospitality education at an international conference held at the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), Gwalior, from Nov 9 to 12 last.
Dr. Mishra, a former Director of IITTM, a multi-campus institute of the Ministry of Tourism, was felicitated at the 6th Asia-Euro International Conference on Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy particularly for promoting IITTM into a leading centre of excellence. He was the first academician to occupy the position.
During his tenure as Director, IITTM underwent a huge expansion with the establishment of regional campuses at Noida, New Delhi, Nellore and Panaji.
