Bhubaneswar, Jan 11: Dr. Satyabadi Martha, Assistant Professor in the Centre for Nano Science and Nano Technology, SOA University, has been awarded the young scientist award by Indian Science Congress Association for the year 2016-17.
He was presented the award at the 104th Indian Science Congress held at Sri Venkateswar University, Tirupati, from January, 3-7, 2017. His presentation on materials design for energy and environmental application was highly appreciated by eminent members of the jury drawn from various renowned technical universities.
Dr. Martha did his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Kulamani Parida, presently Director of the Centre for Nano Science and Nano Technology, who motivated, inspired and encouraged him. Currently, Dr. Martha is working on various government funded projects, which in the future, will have extensive applications in the energy and environmental sector, Dr. Parida said.
