Bhubaneswar: March 16: Former Union Minister Dilip Ray had been to Naveen Niwas today and held discussion with Patnaik. Speculations gained momentum after his meeting with BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik regarding his coming back to BJD. He enterered Naveen Niwas at around 7.20 PM and spent around 15 minutes inside CM’s residence. But, he left Naveen Niwas without meeting the Media.
Former Union Minister has resigned from Bharatiya Janata Party in November last year. Since last few months, he has been venting out his anger against the Saffron party over two unfulfilled promises relating to the construction of a new bridge over the Brahmani River in Rourkela and upgradation of the existing Ispat General Hospital to a super speciality hospital.
Ray, who had played a pivotal role in founding the BJD in 1997, was expelled by Naveen Patnaik for “anti-party” activity and contested (won) for a Rajya Sabha berth as independent candidate in 2002.
