Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: BGU Inter School Sports Fest “”ATOS” held under the aegis of Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar was a splendid success with over 200 participants from 12 renowned schools of Odisha.
The event was inaugurated by Shree Puspendra Singh Deo, Honourable Minister, Housing & Urban Development in the presence of Dr. B.K Das, Advisor, Birla Global University and Dr. Parameswar Nayak, Director, BIMTECH. Cash prizes worth one lakh along with other prizes were won by different teams during the sports fest “ATOS”. Winners of 7 a side Football Tournament, Basketball Girls Tournament and Basketball Boys Tournament was Mothers Public School, Bhubaneswar. DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur won Chess and Table Tennis Girls Tournament. Raghunath Jew Junior College, Cuttack bagged the winner trophy in the Table Tennis Boys Tournament. M/S Burma Sports sponsor the trophies and the sports equipment used for the tournament.
Technical support was provided by Odisha State Table Tennis Association and Khordha District Chess Association. The sports fest came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Supriyo Mondal, Sports Fest Coordinator and Sports Officer of Birla Global University.
