Sports Minister Congratulates Deepa Malik for scripting history at Paralympics 2016

New Delhi, Sept 13: Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Vijay Goel has Congratulated Deepa Malik for scripting history by winning silver medal in Shotput at Paralympics 2016 today. In a message, he said continuous success of Para Athletes at Rio has made country proud.

He said, he has personally requested the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to meet and bless the entire Indian contingent currently participating at Paralympics 2016 once they return home after the games.

Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has already announced a cash prize of Rs. 75 lakhs, 50 Lakh and 30 Lakh respectively for Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal winners at the ongoing Paralympics at Rio.
