Rayagada, Aug 27: Earlier it was just a minor who had consumed mango kernel in the Kashipur block in Odisha’s Rayagada district, but now around 8 from Sipijodi village under the same block here have done the same thing and are admitted to a local hospital.
It’s stated that a 12-year old Ranjan Majhi and 60-year old Shiv Majhi with several others had consumed the gruel made out of mango kernel on Thursday night after supper. They fell sick and were immediately rushed to the Community Health Center (CHC) at Kashipur. Ranjan, a standard 8 student died in the middle of the treatment on Thursday night itself and Shiv die today at the hospital.
