New Delhi, May 1: A five member delegation of the state BJP met the Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh at New Delhi today and sought his intervention on the alleged brutal attack on Parbati Sasmal. Parbati, a resident of Kalikuda in Jagatsinghpur was beaten by the ruling BJD supporters for voting for BJP in the recently concluded Panchayat elections.
During PM Modi’s visit to Odisha for the National Executive Meet, while PM was waving the crowd during his road show near Jaydev Vihar in Bhubaneswar, Parbati dared and handed over a letter to PM. For this, she was attacked again after returning back to village.
The Delegation led by MoPNG Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, submitted the memorandum seeking his interventions in the event. The former requested to ensure safety and security of the lady and other like her, in the memorandum.
The team comprising of BJP National spokesperson Sambit Patra, State General secretary P. Harichandan and Lekhasri Samantsinghar alleged that the police also ignored the incident, though its is a much hyped incident in the media.
