Bhubaneswar: April 24: In a bid to counter the spiralling pulses prices, State government today accepted the offer of the Centre to procure five thousand raw tur and urad dal to sell in the State after processing. Secretary Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Madhusudan Padhi told newsmen here that the State government has decided to procure unprocessed tur dal at Rs 66 a kilogram and Urad dal at Rs 86 per kilogramme.
The State government has been directed to sell these dal not above Rs 120 a kilo after processing, he said. He said since no processing facility is available in State, the government will get the lot processed outside the State.
