Sting on Bribery: Odisha’s Anti-Corruption team to get hold of the Mastermind of the Sting

Bhubaneswar, Sep 3: Yesterday the Vigilance raided three places in the state as part of the enquiry into Odisha’s four ruling party legislators in charge for taking Bribe as a help to set up industries in their constituencies. The Anti-corruption team conducted raid at the office of www.india24x7.tv, a news portal here which had done the sting operation in which these four MLAs of the ruling BJD were caught bribing to facilitate setting up of power and textile industries. Alongside, raids were done on the house of a cameraman, Saroj Kamila at Kamarda in Balasore district and Chandrasekharpur area here from where three laptops, three hard drives, five pen drives and a recorder were seized, following which both, the editor of the portal, Ravi Sharma and the cameraman, Saroj Kamila have reportedly escaped.

It’s stated that the Vigilance sleuths are actually on the lookout to arrest the mastermind behind this sting operation as he has all the proofs of these BJD MLAs seeking bribe. As the ruling party is embarrassed to the extreme, it’s making full efforts to catch the owner of the portal in order to prevent further loss to the party.

Notably, the four BJD MLAs named Susant Kumar Behera (Chhendipada), Seemarani Nayak (Hindol), Anam Nayak (Bhawanipatna) and Bijay Kumar Nayak (Karanjia), were caught on camera seeking bribe but the tainted legislators refuted this allegation.
