Stringent action against fraud petrol pump dealers: Union Petro Minister

Bhubaneswar, May 2: Today the Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan ordered of initiating stringent action against fraud petrol pump dealers on charges of duping customers using micro chips. Acting upon the complaints of being cheated in several petrol pumps across the country, the Minister said it depends upon each of the state governments whether they want to stop the racket or not. If the Directorate of Weights and Measures of the states conducts raid on petrol pumps and finds out petrol theft, then those unscrupulous dealers can be arrested. On the other hand, Pradhan has also appreciated Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s initiative for putting a check on the irregularities in petrol pumps through inspection in the state.
