Bhubaneswar, Sept 22: On Wednesday, the decision to conduct students’ union election in the Utkal University this year was taken by the PG council of the University.
Addressing the media, Ranjan Bal, PG council chairman said that a notice to conduct the union election on September 28 has been issued by the council. However, if there is any case of untoward situation in the varsity, then a decision to cancel the elections has also been taken by the council, he further added.
Besides, the advisor of student union of the varsity, Jayant Kumar Parida, said that this year as there is no case of violence in the university campus, the decision to conduct the election has been taken.
