Bhubaneswar, Oct 23: As the remand period of Manoj Ranjan Nayak, owner of Institute of Medical Sciences and Sum Hospital ended yesterday, he would be produced before SDJM court in the capital city today where the Commissionerate Police is likely to seek for further remand period from the court.
Notably, the police arrested Nayak following the fire mishap at the hospital on last Monday due to which 26 people have lost their lives so far.
As per sources, during interrogation, police has got important information. Meanwhile police is trying to understand the organational structure of the hospital and how the decision had been taken related to the NOC of fire safety guidelines. The police is also giving importance to persons involved in the processing of files related to Fire safety.
On the other hand, Manoj’s wife Saswati Dash, against whom the police has issued a lookout circular, has not yet appeared before police for interrogation.
