New Delhi: June 16: The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to hear a plea by Punjab based NGO Human Rights Awareness Association to stop the release of film and asked it to approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Notably, NGO Human Rights Awareness Association approached Supreme Court yesterday seeking a stay on the release of the movie alleging that, the film projects Punjab in bad light. On June 13, the Bombay High Court had cleared the release of film. The film ‘Udta Punjab’ is Co-produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures, which is a highly talked about movie in the recent days. The movie starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan is scheduled to be released on June 17.
