Bhubaneswar, Jan 19: The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected public interest litigation (PIL) challenging Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) KB Singh appointment filed by Utkal Bharat president and former MP Kharavela Swain.
A three-member bench of the apex court rejected the PIL.
Notably, the former MP had filed a PIL in the apex court and challenged the appointment of KB Singh as DGP of the State arguing that the then DGP Sanjeev Marik’s tenure was not complete as he had nearly two months to retire from his service.
