Malkangiri, July 21: Today a Maoist couple, named as Sukhdev and Rukmini carrying heavy cash rewards on their heads surrendered before police out of fear.
Sukhdev had a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh, while Rukmini carried Rs 4 lakh cash reward on her head. Sukhdev was the area commander of the Kalimela division and Rukmini was in link with the Baipariguda Maoist Division.
Police sources claimed that there are around 100 cases pending against Sukhdev, and 50 against Rukmini.
