Kabul: The new cabinet of the Taliban-led Afghan government has included five U.S.-declared terrorists. The U.S. has also announced a $ 10 million reward for one of the terrorists listed.

On Tuesday, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid told the press that Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund, a known leader in the Taliban leadership council, had been elected as the acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan. Mullah Abdul Ghani, the Taliban’s chief spokesman and co-founder, who signed a peace deal with the Trump administration last year, will take over as deputy Prime Minister.

Sirajuddin Haqqani, the leader of the Haqqani Network, who is on FBI’s “Most Wanted” terrorists list, with a bounty of $5 Million of his head, will takes over as the Interior Minister of Afghanistan. It is now suspected that the United States won’t cooperate anymore with the Taliban, as earlier, the Biden administration had called on the Taliban to sever all ties with the terrorist organization.

Mujahid, meanwhile, said the Taliban was interested in maintaining good relations with all nations in the world, including the United States. Although no woman were included in the cabinet, he described the cabinet as an “integrated organization” because of the involvement of individuals from different communities and social backgrounds.

Other prominent members of the Taliban’s cabinet are Second Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salam Hanafi, Foreign Minister Aamir Khan Muttaqi, Finance Minister Hedayatullah Badri and more.
