Teacher having assets of over Rs.3.7 Crore arrested in Odisha

Berhampur: November 19: Anti-corruption wing of Odisha arrested an assistant teacher in connection with the disproportionate assets case. The teacher named Dillip Kumar Acharya is at present working as Assistant Teacher at Garabaganda Primary School under Seragada block in Ganjam district. Vigilance had detected over Rs 3.7 crore of assets during the raids in the past two days. He has three triple storied building at Brahama Nagar, Muktipath Street and Gandhi Nagar having value of Rs.1,24,05,500, Rs.15,19,145 and Rs.18,75,000 respectively. Also, he had medicines worth Rs.93 lakh, household articles at Rs 15, 75, 800, deposit in different banks & Insurance policies worth Rs 63, 48, 587, cost of a car and two motorcycles at Rs 7, 83, 000, cash of Rs 10, 115, gold and silver ornaments of Rs. 2, 50, 000 excluding those found in lockers On Friday, the bank lockers were searched where 1.335 kg of gold and 100 gram silver ornaments worth over Rs. 30 lakh were traced.
