Telkoi MLA meets and requests CM for assuring security to him

Bhubaneswar, Aug 31: Today, after the severe attack by 7 persons which are arrested by the police, BJD’s Telkoi MLA, Vedvyas Nayak met Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik at his residence here and requested for security for himself. He had come with his mother. He also informed the CM that he did not have a healthy conversation with the dalit and tribal communities.

Notably, Tekloi MLA and BJD leader, Vedavyas Nayak, was attacked by some party workers during a meeting on Sunday, at Gundhichaghati under Ghatagaon block. Following the assault, Nayak sustained head injuries and was rushed to Harichandanpur Community Health Centre (CHC) from where he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Three party workers, Bishnu Prasad Biswal, Panchanan Sahu and Bikash Bhitiria have been suspended by the BJD district president for their involvement in the incident. Seven persons have been nabbed by the Harichandanpur Police on Tuesday night.
