Keonjhar, Oct29: On Friday night, three persons were attacked by six unknown miscreants, who opened fire at them and later fled from the spot on Duburi-Naranpur road in Keonjhar district.
As per sources, six miscreants came on two bikes and opened fire at one Jiten Singh Deo of Chaibasa under Jharkhand district and his two friends, who were travelling on two motor-cycles. The three left the motor-cycles and somehow managed to escape from the spot. However, Jiten sustained injuries in the attack. Later, the miscreants fled from the spot with the motor-cycles.
On receiving the information, the Brahmanipal police reached the spot. Jiten was rushed to Keonjhar district headquarters hospital (DHH) and was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated.
