Bhubaneswar, July 14: The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Bhubaneswar, a not-for-profit institution organized an interactive session named as, “Startup – Let’s Grow” among Startup entrepreneurs, students with the Delegates of Government of Odisha at Xavier’s Institute of Management Bhubaneswar.
The interaction was a collaborative initiative of TiE Bhubaneswar and Government of Odisha in order to build a platform where the young entrepreneurs could interact with the Government of Odisha delegates and come to know the various support available for the startup’s and how can the startup’s avail these benefits.
The Hon’ble Industry Minister, Shri Debi Prasad Mishra attended the interactive session and motivated as well as assured that the state government would always come ahead to provide support to the startups of Odisha.
Principal Secretary of Industry, Shri Sanjeev Chopra, IAS spoke about the various facilities available for the startups and budding entrepreneurs of the state and how they can avail these benefits. He further added that while growing two things should be kept in mind, first to build a belief in oneself and then into the product which is to be launched in the market and secondly to succumb to no shortcuts in life to achieve success, one needs to have patience to achieve great heights in business. Shri Pradeep Kumar Jena, IAS also enlightened the young mass by saying about the various schemes of IT department and aid that the startups can work closely with the state government for their development. Dr. Chandrasekhar Kumar, IAS Transport Commission cum Chairman also encouraged the budding entrepreneurs with his presentation where he showed how they can get benefited.
Alongside Mrs. Ranjana Chopra, IAS Principal Secretary School and Mass Education encouraged the students to take up Entrepreneurship as a career so that solutions to the ongoing challenges can be brought out. She highlighted the first challenge as the lack of learning ability among the people in today’s time. The Second Challenge to be the critical gap in the infrastructure between various schools.
Rajib Sekhar Sahoo, the President of TiE Bhubaneswar said to ReportOdisha, “We are working closely with government of Odisha for bringing an innovative entrepreneurship friendly startup policy and TiE wants to reach out to al entrepreneurs in the state.”
People who attended this interaction are most of them budding entrepreneurs, to be entrepreneur and students from various colleges. Dr. A.K. Rath, Treasurer TiE Bhubaneswar, Mr. Julia Patnaik, Convenor TiE Bhubneswar and Mr. L.N.Gupta, Principal Secretary of Employment Technical Education and Training (ETET) were also present at the meeting, where he announced that the first Start-up festival to be held in November, 2016.
Four start-up entrepreneurs introduced their product in the conference meeting. First was “Notifica” initated by Aditya from California and its latest product is named as, ‘N-God’. The second was “Saac Robotics” introduced by Satya Singh Mohapatra under the Brand name, Saac Robotics Tech Centre. The third in line was “Gramin Prachar” initiated by G.K.Patnaik which underlines two things- is a mass communication platform and makes the captive audience reach out to the advertisers. The fourth was the “Conodiac Technology Consultant” by Chirag having its USP to be re-defining health service in each sphere.
TiE Bhubanswar has many eminent and renowned entrepreneurs of Odisha as its Charter Members who are already lending their helping hand to many young and budding entrepreneurs of the state which have been resulting in a change in the startup ecosystem of the state. It not only provides mentoring, Networking, Education, Handhold, train emerging entrepreneurs but has also funded many startups in the last 4 years of successful journey and has organized more than 60 events on Startup and Entrepreneurship.
