Bhubaneswar: As many as two persons in Puri were tested positive for dengue and admitted to the district headquarters hospital for treatment, said sources on Thursday. One person has been diagnosed with the disease in Balasore.
The patients have been identified as Bimbadhar Parida of Nuapatna in Chandanpur and Achyutananda Bhol of Junei in Konark. They have kept in the dengue isolation ward, informed sources. Initially, Achyutananda was diagnosed with typhoid. But, when his fever did not subside, his blood sample was again sent for test which confirmed that he is suffering from dengue.
Similarly, Bimbadhar has been suffering from fever while staying in Delhi for work. After returning home and admitted to the hospital, he came to know that he was suffering from dengue.
Meanwhile, another dengue case was reported from Balasore district today. A person from Dwarika area in Nilagiri was admitted to the district hospital.
Sources said the patient was affected with dengue while staying in Gujarat.
