Bhubaneswar, Sept 24: In a joint raid conducted by officials of Forest and Vigilance departments and a team of district administration on Saturday, the officials seized Timber worth lakhs of rupees from an illegal saw-mill running at Majhikhand under Niali area in Cuttack.
The sleuths also seized tractors and equipment used for cutting timber from the spot.
The joint raid was planned as the Forest department and the Vigilance had earlier received several complaints against the saw-mill.
Investigation is being carried out, informed sources.
