Bhubaneswar: June 23: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sent two cabinet ministers to New Delhi to remain present during the filing of nomination papers of Draupadi Murmu. Accordingly, Minister Jagannath Saraka and Tukuni Sahu have left for Delhi. The Ministers will also sign the nomination papers of Murmu as the proposers.

The BJD took this move after BJP President J.P. Nadda spoke to Patnaik in this regard.

Patnaik in his Twitter message said, “BJP President Shri @JPNadda Ji spoke to me about the filing of nomination of Smt #DraupadiMurmu Ji for #PresidentElection. My cabinet colleagues Shri @saraka_fan and Smt @TukuniSahu will sign nomination papers today and attend the event tomorrow.”
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday appealed to all MLAs to vote for the ‘daughter of Odisha’ in the Presidential Election. He has extended the party’s clear support to the NDA nominee, Draupadi Murmu.

Draupadi Murmu reached New Delhi this morning and will file nomination on June 24.
