Bhubaneswar: September 27: Following the tragic Bus mishap at Bhubana of Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on September 20, Energy department has suspended two of its officials’ to-day. The suspended officials are Sub-Divisional Officer Ullas Chandra Nath & Junior Engineer Hrushikesh Das, informed Executive Engineer of CESU. Odisha State Electricity Corporation Engineers’ Association has opposed the decision and threatened of non-cooperation movement from October 1 if the suspension is not revoked.
Notably, on September 20, the Bus came in contact with a low-lying 11 KV electric wire, which cause death of six persons due to electrocution and twenty five people were critically injured. Energy Minister Pranab Prakash Das had asked the Chief Engineer of the department to probe into the matter.
