Bhubaneswar, Feb 9: Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti will have another round of talks with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to finalise Mahanadi-Godavari link project soon. She said during her discussion with Patnaik in Bhubaeswar recently, it was decided that a team of officers from the Centre and State will discuss all issues about this link and submit a report in this regard within six months.
“After this report is submitted, I will have another meeting with the CM of Odisha to finalise Mahanadi-Godavari link project and I am very hopeful for a positive response from Government of Odisha in this regard,” she said. Chairing the eighth meeting of the Special Committee of Inter-linking of river in New Delhi, she said the Union Government is committed for implementation of programme with consensus and cooperation of the concerned State Governments.
