Bhubaneswar: June 02: Council of Higher Secondary Education declared Results of plus II Arts and Commerce yesterday in presence of Higher Education Minister Pradip Panigrahi at the CHSE headquarters here. In Arts stream, 242993 students appeared in the examination and 183871 students cleared the examination with a pass percentage of 71.55. In Commerce stream, 31707 students appeared and 22320 students have passed with a pass percentage of 70.39. In Vocational stream, out of 9890 students, 5704 students have passed with a pass percentage of 57.67.
Sources said, only one student of Arts stream and six students of Commerce stream have secured 90 percent and above marks. In Arts stream,252 students succeeded securing 80% and above whereas 4200 students have secured 70% and above. In Commerce stream, 407 students have secured more than 80% marks and 1734 students got 70% and above. In Vocational stream, 20 students have secured 80 percent and above marks and 256 students have secured 70 percent and above marks.
In Arts, Bargarh district has topped the list with pass percentage with 84.11 while Sundargarh district has the lowest pass percentage of 55.49. In Commerce, Nayagarh district topped the list with pass percentage of 92.61 while Deogarh District has lowest pass percentage of 36.05. In Vocational Education, Boudh district has topped the list with 84.41 percent while Rayagada district has registered dismal pass results with only 17.17 percent
