Bhubaneswar: June 05: Shri Raghav Chandra, IAS, Chairman, NHAI has inspected the Khandagiri junction on 05.06.2016 and at the spot approved the proposal for construction of flyover at Khandagiri junction. Further, during the inspection of Bhubaneswar-Puri Section of NH-203 he has directed the officers of NHAI to take up the balance work of ROB, completion of Sakhigopal VUP and work of safety measures etc. at the cost and risk of the Concessionaire of the project immediately.
It was also directed by the Chairman, NHAI that the safety measures, suggested by IRTE in its report may be got implemented within next two months.
Shri Raghav Chandra, IAS, Chairman, NHAI visited Bhuaneswar on 04.06.2016 & 05.06.2016 to review the various National Highways projects in the State of Odisha under NHAI. A meeting was held at the level of Chief Secretary, Odisha on 04.06.2016, in which the State Government raised the issue of completion of balance work of Bhubaneswar-Puri road, construction of flyover at Khandagiri junction and implementations of the recommendation of Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE) in respect of safety measures on NH-5 from Bhubaneswar to Cuttack.
