Bhubaneswar: September 22: The second day of the Monsoon Session of Odisha Legislative Assembly adjourned till 3 pm as the ruling BJD started shouting slogans against the centre over the Mahanadi and Polavaram Issues. Opposition Congress members also rushed into the well of the House shouting slogans and created rockus for halting the proceeding of the House.The uproarious scenes in the house forced the Speaker to adjourn the house.Further, BJD Legislators and Ministers staged dharna sitting near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi with placards and banners in their hands.
The leader of opposition Narasingha Mishra condemned the happenings and said, “The Speaker’s partiality towards the ruling party is clearly visible’. He further demanded resignation of the Chief Minister.
The House was also adjourned twice yesterday after BJD members’ slogan over Mahanadi and Polavaram Issues.
