New Delhi, Nov 22: On Day two of the Ranji Trophy Group B match between Odisha and Karnataka, Odias are at stumps with 318/9.
After the openers fail on the first day itself with 42/2, the struggle was clearly visible. When the game resumed on the second day wickets fell on. Soon Odisha was 79/5 within the early overs of the day. Shreyas Gopal’s bowling attack gave him 5 wickets and made Odisha to fall back one by one. Vinay Kumar, Sreenath & Gowtham also contributed for one wicket each.
But Saurabh Rawat and Biplab Samantray’s great innings scoring 85 and 58 respectively helped Odisha to come back. Among others who contributed to the total score were Abhishek Yadav, 33 and Govind Poddar, 44. This helped Odisha to gain a lead of 139 on the end of second day.
Basant Mohanty and Alok Mangaraj will resume the play from third day.
