Washington, Nov 9: Defeating democratic rival Hillary Clinton, Republican Donald Trump has won the US presidential race and elected as the 45th president of US.
As per the information, California, Ohio, Florida and North Carolina known as the major states in US election have made their way clear to the White House for Trump.
Before the result was published, Hillary Clinton called Trump and conceded the election defeat by congratulating him for his win.
Besides, as the Vice President, the Republican Governor of Indiana, Mike Pence has been selected.
To win the election, a candidate needs at least 270 electors’ votes from the available 538 electors. As per the report, Trump has won 278 electoral votes against Clinton who only won 218 electoral votes.
For the upper house of United States Congress, Senate, Republican won with 51 vote where Democrats got only 47 votes.
Likewise, the US House control also goes to Republican’s hand by winning the race with 235 votes against democrats who got only 184 votes.
