Cuttack: May 11: Anita Das passed away today. The veteran film star of Odiya Film Industry died of cardiac arrest at her residence in Cuttack and was only 57 years old.
She made her feature film debut with Jajabara in 1975 and appeared in over a hundred movies since appeared. The most memorable films of her, the audience still remember, are Ramayan (1980), Swapna Sagara (1983), Gadhi Janile Ghara Sundara (1994), Maa-o-Mamata (1980) and Ki Heba Sua Posile (1991), Sathire(2004), Om Shanti Om(2005), Ama Bhitare Kichhi Acchi (2010) and others.
