Berhampur, Jan 12: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids at the residence of Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BMC) junior engineer Kanhu Charan Das at Baidyanath Nagar and seven other places on charges of accumulation of properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According sources, a number of teams of the state investigating agency headed by Vigilance DCP Surendranath Panigrahi are conducting simultaneous raids at eight places.
The sleuths have seized Das’ bank accounts and some incriminating documents from his possession, sources added.
