Sambalpur, Jan 22: The Junior Doctors Association of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR) have suspended their ten-day old cease work agitation till January 31 and several of them joined work at the premier institution.

The JDA announcement came after a general body meeting called here today to discuss the outcome of its talk with State Health Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak in the State Capital last evening.

JDA President Shankar Ramchandani hoped that they were hopeful that their issues shall be resolved by the State Government.

“We are hopeful as the government is having a positive attitude. We expect that the goverment will take steps to fulfill our rest demands by January 31,” he said.

The JDA had said yesterday that they will take a call on the future course of the agitation after the general body meeting.
