Bhubaneswar, Dec 22: It seems that the death of Asutosh Mohanty aka Rishi and the sex scandal video, which allegedly states to have the involvement of the City Mayor Anant Narayan Jena, has created a stormy political situation.
During the yesterday’s bandh held by Odisha BJP party, some BJD workers attacked the saffron party activists that led to a tussle between the two parties. Protesting the attack by BJD activists, BJP today has decided to gherao the DGP office in Cuttack and will submit a memorandum regarding the same. The protest rally will start from the Netaji Birthplace and the activists will march towards the Police Headquarters and later, they will stage a demonstration there. Meanwhile, another demonstration would be staged in front of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) by the Congress today.
Unless and until the City mayor Ananta Narayan Jena resigns from his post, this agitation would continue irrespectively. This was informed by the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) chief to the media.
