Vyapam scam: Retired IFS officer found dead in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Oct 17: Retired Indian Forest Services (IFS) officer allegedly involved in Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh was found dead on railway tracks in Jharsuguda Industrial Township.

The deceased Vijay Bahadur’s body was discovered early on October 15.

He was an observer for two recruitment tests conducted by the Vyapam.

Bahadur is learnt to have gone to Puri in Odisha with his wife Nita Singh to attend a reunion of 1978 batch IFS officers. His body was found on railway tracks when he was returning to Bhopal.

Jharsuguda deputy superintendent of police said the death appears to have been due to fall from the moving train.
