Sundargarh/Boudh, Mar 27: With the summer completing almost a month, water scarcity across various places in the State has created a panic situation for the locals. According to a report from the MeT department, the heat is going to blaze more from the beginning of April with the expected rise in temperature. With the increase in temperature in the areas, the water scarcity also increases. But yet there has not been any development seen from the governments’ side, said sources.

With the unavailability of safe water as wells and bore wells have dried up, the locals are bound to consume the unsafe and contaminated water in areas of Komana block. But after consuming the unsafe water many villagers in the block are suffering from diarrhoea, and other water-bone diseases.

Though the locals are expecting medical assistance and water tanker facilities from the government, no such actions has been taken yet.
