Cuttack, May 20: A woman here has charged her husband of having an ‘extra marital affair’ with several women. She sat on dharna on Friday along with her children ahead of her in-laws’ house at Srikoruan Gurubari Sahi under Sadar police limits thus seeking justice. She has also claimed of being tortured by her in-laws.
Notably in 2005, Sabita married Jyoti Prasad Mohanty of Jagatsinghpur. It was a love marriage. Altough Sabita’s parents had given money to Jyoti to purchase a land during their marriage, she was allegedly harassed by her in-laws frequently. On the other hand, Sabita alleged that Jyoti has physical relationship with multiple women about which she even has video clips as evidence. She brought the matter to the Mahila police but no action was taken and hence she took to dharna on Friday. Despite several attempts, the woman’s husband and her in-laws could not be contacted for comments.
